Genevieve Duda Merk

Genevieve Duda Merk, 88, died July 21, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, daughter of the late Andrew and Rosa Sanna Duda. Mrs. Merk lived in Savannah since 1967 and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband, John Merk preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Vivian Merk of Mandeville, LA; John Merk of Houston, TX; Paul Merk and his wife, Nancy of Savannah; Michael Merk of Bartlesville, OK; Kathy Todd of Savannah; six grandchildren, Ethan Merk, Rachel Merk, Chris Todd, Emilee Robertson, Allen Merk and Andrew Merk; one great grandchild, Tristan Robertson.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church.

Burial: Catholic Cemetery.
